ATG Mobility

ATG (Athletic Truth Group) is a company created by Ben Patrick (@kneesovertoesguy) to provide content, equipment, and coaching certification in the area of mobilty. The focus of ATG includes helping athletes (and non-athletes) post-injury, revitalizing movement throughout aging, and providing the missing link of soft tissue adaptation when athletes are engaging in high intensity training programs like CrossFit or HYROX.

We have taken the principles of ATG and created programs for many clients of all ages and athletic abilities. You can see some reviews below.

ATG certified coach (level 3)

First of all, is "certified" a good thing? And what is Level 3?

Certification is a good thing here... especially when it comes to your longevity.

There are fewer than 35 Level 3 coaches in the WORLD. We got one of 'em! His name is TJ. https://map.atgforcoaches.com/dl/list

TJ has been teaching people to move since the 90s! He hates bios, but he loves helping people and keeping sessions as fun as possible. Working hard is necessary, but you can still enjoy it! He's also the creator of the only in-person Seminar to teach ATG principles to functional fitness coaches all over the world. So, that means he coaches other coaches on how to coach.

ASSESSMENT expectations

The assessment will still be a workout! You'll go through a series of movements SAFELY to assess things like strength, range of motion, and flexibility.

TJ will guide you through warming up, followed by movement instruction and demonstration, and he will be with you the whole session.

All movements are scalable for ANY level of fitness, ANY age, and ANY ability.

FAQ

I have patellar tendinitis (or other condition). Is this program a fit for me?

TJ is not a medical professional and may not give advice regarding medical conditions. TJ and the ATG methodology specializes in Knee Ability. The ATG methodology strengthens and restores the muscles, tendons, and ligaments from the ground up and bulletproofs the knees against the intense forces that they are subjected to in sports and in life. We have countless members who have improved or eliminated tendinitis and other conditions as a result of doing the Knee Ability Zero Program.

The ATG Team has encountered just about every condition known to an athlete or active individual. We do not address conditions. We address ability. Our programs are not directed at medical conditions. Ben Patrick add this...

"BUT as ability goes up up UP, medical conditions have vanished over and over again. I am rooting for you, but it wouldn't be ethical of me to give you advice on a specific medical issue. I hope that overall viewpoint helps you though, as you work to overcome your symptoms.

"The purpose of every ATG program is the same: ABILITY.

"With enough ability, malfunctions tend to vanish.

"But in life, some things take away our abilities! The solution is not to force PAIN. Nor is it to AVOID. The solution is to reassess what LEVEL of ability you have, and then gradually build back to MORE ability than you had before whatever occurred that reduced your ability!"

I recently had ACL reconstruction (or other surgery). At what point would it be safe to do this program?

TJ is not a medical professional and may not give advice regarding medical conditions. Consult your surgeon or physical therapist for an answer to this question.

Once you have your doctor's or PT's approval, get into an ATG Program and begin to restore your knees.
