Favorite moments: Not sure about “favorite” but first ever muscle up came 8/25/10 (thanks Diso and Zeb) and today 5/12/11 I did 35 in a workout – 20min AMRAP 400m run, 7 muscle ups – I got 5 rounds + 200m run. Cool to see that much improvement. Also my first handstand push-up (thanks Gretchen) right after I joined PCF – I never thought I could get upside down!! Gretchen made it happen scary quick. Also took 2:10 off my Christine time in the 8 weeks during the IWC.
Least favorite moments: THE SEVEN. I hated that workout. Seven rounds for time of: 7 Handstand push-ups 135 pound Thruster, 7 reps 7 Knees to elbows 245 pound Deadlift, 7 reps 7 Burpees 7 Kettlebell swings, 2 pood 7 Pull-ups I didn’t do it RX plus it took me 57:11 and everyone else in class was done for at least 10 minutes just standing around. Awful. I will destroy this workout at some point in my life as redemption.
Comments: It is unbelievable to me how many of the classic girl WOD’s I have never done! I may just start picking them off the wall and doing them until I have done all at least once. CrossFit (and specifically Diso and Miso’s gym) is the shit. ‘Nuff said. The trainers, family atmosphere and support system is unbelievable. I’ve always said, if you can kill WODs in CrossFit, you can do anything. What’s cooler about CrossFit than the physical strength, toughness, and health (and looking goooood) is the mental toughness that comes with it. CrossFit has made me a better person. Short of getting hit by a bus, I will not stop. I hope I don’t get hit by a bus.
