Tactical Weapons Training

Sunday, January 29th we will be heading out to the Burro Canyon Shooting Park in Azusa for a day of weapons and tactical skill training! This is something I have wanted to do for quite a while, and lucky for us, one of our members does this for a living! Roughly 70% of the day will be learning combat handgun techniques and the house clearing course. We will finish with some fun air-soft games (like paintball without the paint:).
The cost will be around $150 per person for all the equipment and ammo, and last from around 9:30am-2:30pm. Sign up by Thursday, January 26th if you would like to attend!
What we will be covering throughout the day:
- Safe Gun Handling
- Marksmanship – hitting your target fast and accurately
- Holster presentations – presenting your weapon rapidly
- Controlled pairs – dramatically increasing follow-up shots and rate of fire
- Tactical reloading and emergency reloading
- Engaging multiple adversaries in move-and-shoot scenarios and combat assault courses
- Door breaching
- Room entry against multiple opponents
- “Cutting the pie” room clearing techniques
- Searching and engaging multiple adversaries in house-clearing ops

I’m really freaking bummed out but I think I have to back out of this. Some other things have come up and as much as I want – WANT to do this I don’t think it is the right time. Hoping you do another one!
